MONT TREYA

West of palace, this mountain has always been the place at all new sultan, even when the city is moved in Abéché. Its summit is equipped with a platform (20 m X 30 m) pyramid-shaped, comparable to the constellation of the Pleiades. During the applicant to the throne was to make a seven days and seven nights retreat in seven different huts, in reference to the number of seven star constellation. The seventh day, a huge snake left the last hut, signs that the new sovereign was accepted.
